THE TREE ACTIVITY

We did this activity in class and to carry it out the teachers took us out of the classroom, in the faculty yard, where there was a big tree. Then,  each one had to represented that tree on a paper.

When we saw the tree, it made us think, in facts, it transmits lots of things in spite of being only a tree. We did a drawing of the tree in order to do a real representation but for each one the tree had a different meaning.

This activity has helped us to see how reality is subjective depending on the point of view of each one. There were many different opinions in class, for some, the tree was a symbol of wisdom, for other students the tree transmitted them sadness and loneliness, this also helped us to listen and respect every opinion, since they are all valid, therefore, we believe that another objective of this activity, apart from the fact that there is no absolute truth, is helping us to be more tolerant.

The tree in the centre of the faculty yard is very significant. The activity was very curious because we have never done something like that before. We think these types of activities are useful to develop learning because it is good to think in another way and also we enjoyed a lot.
